Mother Nature Festival
The Lawrence Nature Center will host the annual Mother Nature Festival on May 12. From 12 Noon until 4:00 pm at the Drexel Avenue Nature Center. There will be many nature and environmental exhibits with activities for children, hikes and demonstrations. For more details click on the flyer.
Perennials
The Lawrence Nature Center will host author Craig Dupee on Sunday June 3 when he will speak about how to select garden plantings based on their need for sun and shade. For more information on this wonderful topic please see the flyer.
Deck project
The Friends of the Lawrence Nature Center have been joined by the HDR Young Professioal Architects to design and build a deck at the Lawrence Nature Center. This deck will serve as an extension of the Nature Center and provide greater opportunities for programs, activities and observing the beautiful surroundings. geocaching at lnc
Hey ‘tweens, come on down to the Lawrence Nature Center and do a little ‘geocaching and geostashing’, our nature version of the high tech gaming phenomenon, Geocaching! Children from the ages of nine to twelve can come out to the nature center and learn about and/or participate in, our geocaching activity. Geocaching is the outdoor hide and seek game using our nation’s billion dollar satellites system and an inexpensive hand-held global positioning unit. The flyer has more details on this program. REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
